Shabby chic card with family blessings

Hello, fellow crafters
Today I am sharing a shabby chic-style card with you.

I have shown my first project for Fabscraps, using the fabulous Family blessings collection.
I just had to make some cards. Some I cannot show yet, but today I am sharing this one to show how versatile the papers and other elements in the collection are - you can combine it with so many other elements.

I started with a 15cm square card base from one of the Fabscraps card-making kits and added a mat cut out from one of the collection papers with beige textured print. The edges were distressed before I adhered it to the card base.
Next, I used blush cardstock that was also distressed along all for edges. I used a piece of thick box to lift the pink cardstock, for dimension.

After adding a piece of rose lace on the left side, I added lots of fussy-cut elements from the page with designs for cutting out (part of the lovely card-making kit pack), a satin ribbon rose from the same card-making kit, die-cut leaves, mulberry flowers, fussy-cut gold-foiled vellum leaves, a small chipboard heart, a dragonfly heat-embossed using one of the stamps from the Blooming beautifully stamp pack in the card-making kit, a Spellbinders die for the doily and, lastly, two metal words from the Family blessings collection.

I encourage you to get your hands on this collection and start creating beautiful projects.
You can find the papers and other elements of the collection here in our online store, by following the link.
Thank you for visiting. If you are inspired by this, please leave me a comment - I love hearing your thoughts.
Happy crafting, until next time.
Marie Smith
