Family blessings photo folio

Family blessings. First thoughts when you hear the collection theme and see the beautiful papers, stamps, embellishments and more, are about memories.
So, here it comes - my first project as brand ambassador for Fabscraps. This project is a folio photo album, intended as a gift, with extra little surprises inside.
This fabulous collection is definitely a favourite and a must-have for all paper crafters, no matter whether you prefer scrapbooking, cardmaking or off-the-page projects. Everything in the collection makes your fingers itch to create all kinds of paper projects.
Follow the Fabscraps Facebook page for lots of amazing inspiration projects by the rest of the brand ambassador team, and for the blog to see details about this project. I cannot wait to see what the other ambassadors have been creating.

For This Project You Will Need:
·        FabScraps Family blessings papers C121-002; 003; 004; 006; 008; 009; 011; 012
·        For the cover: Stiff cardstock in white or soft pink:
o   21x21cm scored and folded at 18cm
o   21x25cm scored and folded at 3cm and 7cm
o   For the “box” inside: 25,5cmx17 cm scored and folded as follows: (after scoring, cut away the areas marked in dark)

·        For flaps for photos on the inside left of the cover:
o   16x20cm, scored on the 20cm side at 18cm so that a folded flap of 2 cm is formed
o   11x12cm scored on the 11cm side at 9,5cm so that a 2cm folded flap is formed
·        For fold-open elements onto which photos can be attached:
o   28x19cm scored at 14cm to form folded card of 14x19cm
o   30x6cm scored and folded zig-zag at 10cm and 20cm
·        Double-sided tape and Fabscraps clear glue
·        Flowers, die-cut leaves and satin roses for embellishment of cover
·        Fussy-cut flowers from the collection for embellishing the box inside
·        Pink ribbon
Instructions:
1.      Cover:
1.1   Join the 2 pieces of cardstock so that the 3cm-folds overlap to form a strong spine for the folio.

1.1   Fold folio closed and adhere ribbon to the outside top and the spine on the right-hand with double-sided tape for tying a bow to keep the folio closed.
1.2   Cut paper pieces to fit all areas on the inside and outside of the cover (4 of 17,5cm wide x 20,5cm high; 4 of 2,5cmx20,5cm and 2 of 3,5cmx20,5cm). Adhere the pieces for the outside and inside of the cover, except the inside left.

2.   Flaps on inside left of the folio:
2.1     Cut printed paper to cover the flaps on the left inside cover (cut 0,5cm narrower and 0,5cm shorter than the cardstock flaps.
2.2     Adhere the 2cm flap of the large flap to the top back of the printed paper.
2.3     Adhere printed paper to the small flap and adhere the 1,5cm flap to the right-hand back of the small flap. When both flaps are adhered to the inside cover, they will look as follows:

3. Box inside (for inserting fold-outs and gift): Fold on the score lines to form a box. Adhere to the inside of the folio. Decorate with printed paper and fussy-cut flowers and butterfly.

4. Fold-outs: Score and fold as described under what you will need. Cover all panels on them with printed paper (cut 0,5cm narrower and 0,5cm shorter than the cardstock.

5. Embellish the front cover with flowers and die-cut leaves.

Happy crafting, until next time.
