Tranquility with a promise of a new season

While watching the sun rise through my craft room window this morning, with reflections on the string of crystals a friend made for me for my last birthday, I was inspired to put together a pretty card conveying the message of a new day or new season - even in the midst of winter with the cold creeping up in our limbs in our sunny South Africa.

To make this quick card, I used three panels from the lovely cherry blossom retreat paper pack from Heartfelt Creations.

This pack has some amazingly beautiful papers.

The green background square went onto a card base of 14,5x14,5cm. Next I stuck down the panel with the birds. The third piece was fussy-cut so that I would have the garden for the foreground of the card.

I added a bunch of the cherry blossoms I had in my stash. I love making a whole bunch of flowers at a time and store different types in cellophane bags in three large plastic containers so that they are ready when I am inspired or need to make a special card for someone.

These cute little cherry blossoms were made using the stamps and co-ordinating dies, before being shaped in the special flower-shaping mould. A few stamens were added to the centres of the larger flowers and white prills completed the centres of the smaller flowers.

If you feel inspired by this post to create something pretty, please let me know by leaving a comment. And if you have any questions about this card or the products, please feel free to reach out and ask.

Have a wonderful day filled with love, hope and sunshine in your heart.

Marie Smith
