Plum petunias in vellum

These pretty flowers could have come straight out of fairyworld.
The classic petunia stamp-and-die-sets from Heartfelt Creations make awesome flowers. These sets are complimented by the pretty classic petunia paper collections.I first selected a piece of paper from the collection for the background of my  card.
I stamped two sets of all sizes from the Small classic petunia set and one set of the smaller set from the Large classic petunia set on vellum with Versamark. Then I sprinkled white embossing powder over the stamped images and heat-set them, before doing the die-cutting. It is so convenient that the Heartfelt Creations stamps are clustered and that the dies fit each cluster perfectly - makes die-cutting easy and quick. I prefer keeping the dies in position with Washi tape to ensure the dies don't move around while being cranked through the machine.

The next step was to colour the petals and leaf sets. I used Adirondack ink in wild plum (which I have had for ages) and Ranger distress oxide in twisted citron, applying the inks with daubers at the back of the heat-embossed flowers.

The next step was to shape the flowers with a ball tool and place two layers of petals on top of each other,  before finishing them off with white pearl beads.

Here is a final close-up picture of the flowers.
